Alert the presses, gather the most discerning foodies, and prepare for a culinary tour of the Greek Islands. Emeril Lagasse has opened his first New York City collaboration in the lobby of chic Hotel Henri, and it’s even better than imagined. Rodos, named after a Greek Island, is a sublimely balanced fusion of lighter Mediterranean cuisine with the robust richness of Lagasse’s famous New Orleans-inspired flare. "Scintillating" is just the helm of the sailboat when it comes to the monumental menu that seamlessly sashays between the classics and completely innovative, even savage dishes from the creativity of Lagasse’s soul. The lineup features traditional Greek dishes like Lavraki, grilled branzino with kritamo leaves, ladolemono, and capers, alongside Lagasse-esque creations like Louisiana Seafood Andouille Gumbo with steamed laurel rice, and Louisiana Crawfish Stuffed Clams in Miss Hilda’s clad verde broth. Secretly opened on January 8th, the restaurant is like your own private Greek oasis, but not for long. Is your mouth watering yet? For reservations click here.
